PHYSICAL THERAPY TECH/AIDE
JOB TITLE: PHYSICAL THERAPY TECH
DEPARTMENT: Physical Therapy
REPORTS TO: Director of PT
FLSA STATUS: Hourly
JOB SUMMARY: Under the close supervision of a physical therapist or assistant, this position performs select tasks in preparing the patient, administering treatment therapy and maintaining the treatment area.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Prolonged sitting, standing, some bending, stooping and stretching and/or walking
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in a clinical setting, with contact with patients, office staff, physicians, etc.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meet and accompany physical therapy patients.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Reports to work regularly without undue tardiness
Maintains positive attitude and demonstrates the utmost in professionalism at all times
Dresses appropriately and professionally
Works independently, without direct supervision
Completes work accurately and in a timely manner
Excellent oral, written & telephone communication, along with tact, diplomacy, and a strong customer service orientation
Prioritizes work activities and accepts multiple job duties
Maintains effective working relationships with physicians, administration and other staff members
